★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Much of Panepane is beautiful plantation forest and has significant cultural and heritage significance to Maori. Panepane Point is at the entrance to Tauranga Harbour. We've sailed past this beautiful south-eastern tip of the forested part of the Matakana Island many times; beautiful forest and banks along Matakana!
