★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good scenic spot ?. A beautiful waterfall with just a 15min walk. Which goes all the way down to the stream where there the best view is. It is well worth the visit. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's visiting whakapapa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just off the road makes it easily accessible. Cool to get a bit of lotr geek on. A few stairs to the river level making it not great for the un agile but you can get close enough to see it otherwise. For a little place to stretch the legs it’s a ten outa ten

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, you know, it's a pool and waterfall, very picturesque and only a short walk from the small car park with a few steps along the way. I suggest you get there before 9am if you want a space to park.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and short little walk through the bush. Takes only about five minutes to reach the falls. Recommend this place for families since it's very easy and right off the road. Parking is very limited however.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little 10minute walk to a bubbling waterfall where a scene from LOR was filmed. Scenic and well worth the stop. About 4km from chateau on right signposted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice spot. Has heaps of different swimming spots that you can explore if you are adventours. It's perfect for the people that don't like hikes but want to see nature at its best by only walking 1km as this walk is only 800m...is a very easy walk. Highly recommend.
