★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite disappointing. Overview of surroundings is fine but the track stops too early. If you would climb a bit longer, you would reach the top of the mountain and have a really nice lookout. Unfortunately this is not a possibility.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On a clear day I expect this walk is beautiful, with the mist in situ i still found it beautiful and worth doing. Really lovely flowers all the way up which was nice, saw a giant bee feeding from the white flowers which I was told is the manuka honey plant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uphill track but it just ends somewhere on a hillside with a table but no chairs. It offers a wide view of the other two volcanoes with Ruapehu partly hidden by the bush.
