★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn’t get the staff members name who we picked up our car from on Tuesday 22nd Feb but he was a superstar and made the process so easy for us. He was happy to answer all my questions and really knew his stuff so if we could say thanks to him because he was our first encounter in Queenstown and started our trip off really well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually don’t complete surveys, but the 2-question EZI survey asked about staff member experience at pickup. Pickup was great and then I wasn’t able to have a staff member experience at drop-off because our travel plans changed due to the recent flooding in Westport (where we originally were with plans to drive to Nelson). We ended up unexpectedly leaving our rental car in one of the designated EZI car rental spots at Hokitika airport around 4:30pm after hwy 6 southbound opened up and were lucky to catch the last flight out of Hokitika to Nelson on 10/2. However, I still gave a “10” rating for staff member experience, because we left a couple important belongings of our 16-month old son’s in the vehicle during our rush to make this last-minute flight (his scraggly little stuffed toy lamb lovey and a mirror that goes above his carseat so we can see him from the rear-view mirror). Every person we spoke to the next morning was extremely helpful in helping us track down these items. We initially spoke with the Hertz representative who called us back to inform us that the car was already gone, but the EZI representative we spoke with over the phone quickly explained our issue to and got us in contact with the branch manager at Greymouth (where the car was). They promptly called us back to let us know they had located our forgotten items and would mail them back to us in Napier. I just wish I’d remembered everyone’s names and will be sure next time to book directly through EZI instead of a third-party!! Thanks for our super clean, reliable vehicle and carseat as well as excellent customer service/teamwork!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a repeat customer and had a great first experience with Ezi Car so was hoping for the same experience. First, the van they rented to us had the wheel trims half coming off so during our use, they had fully come off and we ended up having to pay for the replacement. It doesn't seem like they actually inspected their own van. Secondly, whoever that old blonde lady that was serving me on the day we picked our van up gave me some mighty attitude. Someone must have gone to work hungover and was taking it out on their customers. Definitely not coming back nor recommending to anyone.

I was travelling alone with two kids, he helped me to push our baggage out to the car, installed the car seat for us then reinstalled it to adjust the straps again. He was so patient! It was a hot day and it just made the start to our trip so much smoother having a calm and helpful person to make sure we got everything we needed. Drop off was just as good, we were cutting it so fine to check in and dealt with the same guy, nothing was a problem. Massive thank you for awesome service!

Costs are always within my preferred range, customer service is very friendly and welcoming and the process is so smooth and easy. I especially appreciate the $400 bond (cheap!) and reasonably priced insurance. I always go for the top without feeling hurt by the price. Thanks Ezi! As per usual, nothing but the best experience.
