★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently hired a Maui Cascade from Auckland branch. A Merc chassis with just 6,400km on the clock. Very nice indeed. The check in and return went without hitch, staff friendly and helpful. A couple of issues, never did manage to get the internal water heater to work but didn't matter as we either just boiled a kettle or used the site facilities and I managed to cut my thumb open on the aluminium ice tray which was sharper than any knife supplied in the drawer! Bought a couple of plastic ice trays which we left in the van. For any potential hirer of say over three weeks we felt that if there was two of you hire a four berth, if there was four of you hire a 6 berth. Just gives you that extra space and very nice not to have to make the bed up every evening. All in all a very successful and comfortable 6 week tour of beautiful New Zealand. Thank you Maui and thank you New Zealand ??.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hired the Maui Beach and love it. The camper was easy to drive and didnt feel heavy. It is well equiped with cooking equipment and the fridge was large enough for 3-4 days. The reason for 4 stars is because we experienced a leak from the roof during the two days of rain. It limits the use to one of the bed and powerpoint. The road side call center was attentive and followup with our issue. It was unfortuniate there is no contractor nearby to look into the issue. I would still recommend anyone to give Maui a go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly, very helpful and efficient service. Maui Ultima 2 berth was fantastic and as a first time camper the whole experience was wonderful. Van was beautiful inside and had everything you need...you literally only need your food and clothes! Definitely would recommend Maui.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited New Zealand in early 2019 and rented a campervan here. The van itself was great, clean and had all the functions we came to expect.
It was easy to drive, very comfortable and the cruise control was a nice thing to have when driving for longer periods. Backup camera was a must-have for parking into tighter spots.
Pickup was good, you fill our some paperwork and then you can go on your merry way.
During our travel we had an issue with the "house" battery, it couldn't hold a charge for more than a few hours which meant all power would go out (for fridge, interior lights and so on). We called up customer support, and at first they told us the battery could be replaced by a road service team. Called back later to arrange for the service team, but this customer support person told us that no such thing was possible. Instead we had to cut our day short because we had to drive to a mechanic shop 2 hours away (on our route).
This unfortunate misinformation from support caused us to miss out on half a day, but to be fair we where later compensated for it by writing to the Maui office and explaining the ordeal.

We had a good look around with the sales rep who was happy to oblige our requests.
Plenty of camper's onsite, looking to rent or buy no worries.
You do have to plan ahead get all your ducks in a row.
Campers seem to be extremely popular at the moment, price point is going up.
Get out and see the country!!!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous 7 days travelling around the North of Auckland. The Motorhome was easy and convenient for us to get about it. I worried about the comfort level of the bed but was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I slept. Would certainly recommend this hoke on wheels to any couple or small family. So much fun to be had.
